Hog and Lamb Roast
Done To A Turn is well renowned for our hog roasts, and with state of the art equipment, we will ensure that your every need is catered for. We believe in always using the same traditional family butcher for our hog & lamb roasts, keeping our meat quality to the highest standard, every time.
It takes approximately 7 hours to cook a whole hog roast, and 5 hours to cook a lamb (depending on their weight and the great British weather of course!). Usually the hog & lamb are cooked off site and then transported to the location of the event, where we cook the meat for a further 45-60 , meaning that when the meat is ready to carve, its is hot and moist. The hog & lambs are constantly turning on a stainless steel spit to achieve even cooking throughout, and underneath is a stainless steel drip tray, which catches the fat.
When the hog / lamb has finished cooking, it is carved into a stainless steel tray. We bring all of the equipment required to prepare, cook, and carve the meat, including tables and trays. We also have chafing dishes, which keep the meat hot if you are having a buffet, or for a formal meal where you need all the meat to be served at once.

We wanted something different four the adults at our daughters first birthday party, Simon came highly recommended and did not disappoint! Nothing was too much trouble! He was professional and courteous to all the guests. And the pig, having been cooked from 3am, was amazing! We asked for 60-70 servings but there was plenty left over for people to take home even after simon provided extra buns for seconds off his own back! Great guy, great hog roast!!Scott Pinhorne
